The AFC President's Cup is an annual Asian competition between domestic clubs of the AFC. Qualification is to clubs from AFC's 'emerging nations' category as laid out in their 'Vision Asia' plan. Nations which are 'mature' and 'developing' are entered into the AFC Champions League and the AFC Cup, respectively. For an 'emerging nation' to have it's league champion in the competition, the country must have an acceptable football league. The 8 teams are split into 2 groups, and each team in the group plays each other team in their group once. The winner in each group plays the runner up in the other group in the semi-finals, and the winner of the semi-finals play each other to determine the winner of the competition.
