The CAF Super Cup (aka African Super Cup) is the ultimate African continental club competition. It is a 1 match affair between the reigning champions of the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF Champions League. The matches are held in the 2nd half of the season, usually in February or March.
Starting in 1992, it was originally contested by the winners of African Cup of Champions Clubs (Champions League after 1997) and the African Cup Winners' Cup. In 2004 it changed to its current format.
