The Arab Champions League (aka Arabian Champions League, دوري أبطال العرب in Arabic) is an ethno-cultural club football tournament held annually for Arab clubs (West Asia/Middle East and North/East Africa), organized by the Union Arab de Football Association (UAFA).
It was 1st known as the Arab Club Champions Cup, and established in 1982. In 2001 it was merged with the Arab Cup Winners' Cup to form the new Prince Faysal bin Fahad Tournament for Arab Clubs. Since the 2003/04 season it is known under its current name, garnered big sponsors and styled itself after the hugely successful UEFA Champions League of Europe.
