The ASEAN Football Championship (aka AFF Championship or AFF Cup) is a regional football competition held every 2 years for Southeast Asian nations, organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF).
Formerly called the Tiger Cup after it's past sponsor. The 8 qualified nations play in 2 groups of 4, with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to the 2-legged knockout stages. Since 2004, the final is played over 2 legs as well. The Away Goals Rule is not applied in this tournament, so if the total aggregate score of both teams after both matches remains the same, extra time is played, followed by a penalty shootout if necessary.
