The Central American & Caribbean Games (aka Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe in Spanish) are a regional multi-sport event (including football) held every 4 years organized by the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO). Founded in 1926, they are the oldest continuing regional multi-sport games and only the Olympic Games have a longer continuous history. Mexico, Cuba and Guatemala were the only 3 countries present at the 1st games, which were then called the Central American Games. In 1935 their name was changed to Central American and Caribbean Games to reflect expanding participation.
