The VIVA World Cup is an international football tournament held every 2 years for nations unaffiliated to FIFA, organized by the Nouvelle Fédération-Board (NF-Board). The 1st tournament was to be held in Northern Cyprus but due to a dispute, it was switched to Occitania. In response, Northern Cyprus began a new tournament, the ELF Cup, scheduled for the same exact time as the VIVA World Cup. Some NF-Board members accepted invitations to take part in the ELF Cup in response to their expenses being paid. The number of entrants for the VIVA WC was downsized to 8, later 4 and finally 3 teams, as Southern Cameroon never showed due to visa problems. In the end, Sápmi won the 1st ever VIVA World Cup Nelson Mandela Trophy and a new tournament was born.
