Budapest skyline & Danube River
Budapest skyline & Danube River
One of world's most beautiful cities, Budapest is comprised of two very different cities, Buda on the west bank of the Danube River and Pest on the east bank. This ancient Hungarian capital has contributed much to culture, especially to music.

Széchenyi Chain Bridge & Buda Castle
The iconic Széchenyi Chain Bridge with Buda Castle behind. The castle was built in the 1200s to defend against Mongols and was later besieged 31 times, now its 203 rooms house several museums including the National Gallery.
Parliament Building
Parliament Building
The 19th century Parliament Building is situated at Pest's riverbank and has become a symbol of Hungary's independence. The exterior design was inspired by the neo-gothic Houses of Parliament in London, England.
Fisherman?s Bastion
Fisherman?s Bastion
Fisherman?s Bastion is a viewing terrace built in 1905, with many stairs and paths. Its seven towers represent the Magyar tribes that settled in the Carpathian Basin in 896. It?s named after the fishermen who defended this city wall strip.
Budapest thermal spa
Budapest thermal spa
Hungary is world-famous for its centrally located thermal baths and spas. The city of Budapest has 118 springs and boreholes which are associated with 14 facilities which provide proven medicinal properties from their natural mineral waters.
Budapest graces both sides of the Danube River with grand historic buildings, regal bridges and graceful tree-lined boulevards which provide its elegant beauty and romantic atmosphere. It was originally two cities built on either side of the Danube, namely Buda and Pest. The two districts are still distinct in their contrasting makeup, with the older and more charming Buda comprising atmospheric cobbled streets, little picturesque colored houses and a medieval, neo-Classical mixture of architecture set among the gentle hills of the west bank. Pest lies on a flat plain and is the commercial core of the city. It bustles with fashionable shopping areas and has characteristically wide, leafy boulevards.
