The Regions' Cup is a continental football competition held every 2 years for amateur European clubs, organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
The competition was created in 1996 and began in the 1998/99 season. The UEFA Amateur Cup, a previous attempt of awarding amateurs continental competition, had run from 1966 to 1978, but was cancelled due to lack of interest both by the public and the amateur national teams themselves. Each country in UEFA is allowed to enter 1 representative amateur team into the competition, with clubs having to win a domestic amateur competition in order to qualify.
